Step 1 — Pair to your phone
- Hold the power button for 2 seconds until you hear the startup tone and the LED flashes blue.
- On your phone: Settings → Bluetooth → search for "HumBird" or "humbirdSPEAKER".
- Tap to pair. You’ll hear a confirmation tone. The LED turns solid blue.
- Press the HumBird against any hard surface and play audio.

Step 2 — Choose your surface
The surface you press the HumBird against is half the speaker system. Different materials produce very different results.

Step 3 — Twins mode (TWS stereo)
If you have two HumBird speakers (the Twins Pack), you can pair them for true left-right stereo:
- Turn on both speakers simultaneously.
- They find each other automatically within 5 seconds. You’ll hear two tones.
- One speaker connects to your phone via Bluetooth. The other links to the first speaker wirelessly.
- Place them on opposite sides of a surface — left and right sides of a window or table — for full stereo separation.
To reset to single mode: turn off both speakers, then turn on only one.

Getting the best sound — tips
Surface size matters more than you think
A small coaster produces weak sound. The same HumBird pressed to a full wooden door or a large window produces surprisingly room-filling audio. When in doubt, find the biggest flat hard surface available.
Edge placement vs. centre
Pressing the HumBird near the edge of a surface (rather than dead centre) often produces more resonance because it allows the surface to vibrate more freely.
Pressure matters
The HumBird needs firm contact with the surface. A light touch produces less sound than pressing it firmly.
Troubleshooting
Not pairing to my phone
Make sure no other device is currently connected to the HumBird. To reset Bluetooth: turn off the speaker, then hold the power button for 6 seconds until you hear two beeps. Then pair again from scratch.
Sound is very quiet
Check: (1) the surface — soft or very thin surfaces absorb vibration; (2) volume on both the speaker and your phone should be at maximum; (3) firm pressure — the HumBird needs solid contact with the surface.
Keeps disconnecting
Bluetooth 5.0 has a range of approximately 10 metres. Keep your phone within this range and avoid thick walls between the phone and speaker.
