HumBird Speaker Manual — Setup, Surfaces & Controls

Quick start — 3 steps
- Turn on — hold the power button for 2 seconds until you hear the startup tone and the LED flashes blue.
- Pair — on your phone, go to Settings → Bluetooth → search for "HumBird" or "humbirdSPEAKER" and tap to connect.
- Press to a surface — press the HumBird firmly against any hard surface and play audio. The surface becomes the speaker.
Best surfaces for sound

Tips: Bigger surfaces = louder. Press near the edge of a surface (not the centre) for more resonance. Use firm, consistent pressure for best results.

TWS Stereo mode (Twins Pack)
If you have two HumBird speakers (Twins Pack), you can pair them for left-right stereo:
- Turn on both speakers simultaneously.
- They pair automatically within 5 seconds.
- Connect to your phone via Bluetooth as normal — one speaker acts as primary, the second links wirelessly.
- Place on opposite sides of a surface for full stereo separation.
To return to single mode: turn off both speakers, then turn on only one.
Charging
- Use the included USB-C cable
- Use a standard 5V USB charger — do not use fast chargers above 5V
- Red LED = charging. LED turns off = fully charged
- Charge time: approximately 1 hour
- Battery life: up to 6 hours continuous playback
Troubleshooting
Speaker not pairing
Turn off the HumBird. Hold the power button for 6 seconds until you hear two beeps — this resets Bluetooth. Then pair again from scratch.
Sound is very quiet
Check the surface — soft or thin surfaces absorb vibration. Try a larger, harder surface. Also ensure volume is at maximum on both the speaker and your phone, and that you're pressing firmly.
Speaker keeps disconnecting
Bluetooth 5.0 range is approximately 10 metres. Keep your phone within range and avoid thick walls between the phone and speaker.
LED not turning on
Charge fully before first use — some units ship with a partial charge.

How do I use the humbirdSPEAKER?

What surfaces work best with the HumBird?
Glass windows, wooden tables and doors, and ceramic tiles produce the best sound. The larger the surface, the louder and fuller the audio. Avoid soft surfaces like fabric.
Why is my HumBird so quiet?
Low volume is almost always a surface issue. Press the HumBird against a larger, harder surface. Also check that volume is at maximum on both your phone and the speaker. The HumBird produces very little sound when held in the air — it needs surface contact.
Is the HumBird waterproof?
Yes — the HumBird is waterproof and safe to use in the shower. Press it to a shower wall, glass screen, or tile. Do not fully submerge.
